Linksys (EC2T) PCMCIA Conbo Card
They just say to install my DOS network drivers on their boot floppy according to the network adapter manufacturer's website. So, I'm trying to figure out how to install a DOS network driver for my Linksys PC Combo Card. The Linksys driver has a directory of drivers for MS Lan Manager, whatever that is.

You might also want to go to the linksys web page and see if there are newer versions of the driver available (as long as you are doing an install anyway . I just took a quick look at my Linksys driver floppy for version 4.1 cards. I pointed the Install Wizard to the A:\WIN98 directory when I installed mine.

Linksys PCMCIA NIC driver install problem
ADMtek, the manufacturer of the chipset used on these Linksys NIC's, has 2 drivers that are newer than Linksys'. The most recent one is in file "AN985B_DRV_205.zip" This can be verified by checking the inf file that comes with original Linksys drivers and ADMtek's. Actual chip is from the AN983 family.

I re-installed the driver for the Linksys adapter and it all started to work. It was still working after 10 minutes and I thought I was getting somewhere. However, I then re-booted and when the system came back up it was Local only again. So I suppose it is not the Netgear router fully to blame.
